This is Option 1.

In this case, we would paint everything below the line that coordinates with the beams. The paint above is in pretty good shape and this would save paint, avoid painting across the ceiling, and would address the most highly trafficked area

option 2

This is Option 2.

In this case we would paint the interior hallway all the way to the ceiling. It would freshen the space up but would be hard to get up there and wouldn’t address the entry or elevator vestibule which are pretty beat up.
